What is going on this summer 2007?
We have two groups of teachers to get ready for fall--those who will be teaching seminar (FYSLs) and those who will be teaching composition. The FYSLs are attending the summer workshop which is being held Monday through Wednesday from 9:00-12:00 the weeks of July 9-11 and July 16-18. The Composition teachers are attending the 3-credit practicum course, ENGL 5392, which is scheduled MTWR 10-12 during Summer II. The two groups will meet in separate rooms, but may come together at times. The FYSLs will meet in both BH 111 and FC 253. The compostion instructors will meet in both BH 113 and CI 223.
Any FYSL who is interested is welcome to attend the practicum course, on days/times that don't overlap with the seminar workshop and can receive any of the free books that will be provided to those teachers.
Who will be teaching the workshop and the practicum?
Chloe Yowell, the seminar leader coordinator for the FYLCP, will be teaching the seminar workshop. Susan Wolff Murphy, the FYWP coordinator and co-director of the University Core Curriculum Program (UCCP) will be teaching the practicum.
